Production Range

TOSHULIN, a.s. manufactures the vertical lathes specified for high-precision and efficient turning. Moreover, these vertical lathes enable boring, thread cutting, milling and grinding. The machines are offered in eight type versions. The table diameter range is from 1250 to 5000 mm.

The basis of each machine is formed by the bed and the column; only the machines with table diameter 2500-5000 mm have two columns. The bed serves for mounting the table, on which the workpiece is machined, as well as for mounting the gearbox. The table is driven by the AC motor. The workpiece is chucked by means of the four-jaw self-centring chuck. The column supports the cross rail.

The rail head is attached to the cross rail. The rail head carries the ram having the cutting tool on its end. All vertical lathes provide the automatic tool exchange from the tool magazine. They are equipped with CNC control systems and modern AC drives made by Siemens, Fanuc, Bosch etc. The machines are delivered as lathe-type machines or as machining centres with three controlled axes and with the rotary tool drive. The machines are equipped with protective guards. The improved variant is represented by ecological protective guards which allow to exhaust harmful aerosol kinds during intensive cooling as well as noise reduction.

Another advantage is the possibility to complete the machine with the pallet exchange system serving for the automatic workpiece exchange. This type execution can increase productivity in the maximum possible way. However, manipulation performed by staff remains minimum - the vertical lathe becomes a high-efficient machining centre suitable for service-free operation. E. g. the POWERTURN machines have the chain tool magazine located on the right side (or also on the left side). The tool magazine capacity is up to 96 tools. This original patented design of the automatic tool exchange fulfils requirements placed with regard to speed, reliability and accuracy.

The vertical lathes are also offered in the enlarged type execution (in dependence on the vertical lathe type and size) with the side head, with the second rail head, equipped with active workpiece checking and active tool checking, with tool condition monitoring, with standard cooling or pressure cooling, with the third controlled axis. The vertical lathes can be manufactured in the increased machine type execution, they can have increased table speed, the chip conveyer, the linear measuring system, increased climatic resistance, they can be adapted for various voltage and frequency types as well as they can be equipped with special tooling for special products (e. g. for valve bodies). The wide range of turning tools and rotary tools enables to perform efficient machining and finishing.
