Product class SKG

The SKG vertical lathes are manufactured with the table diameters of 4000, 5000 mm. Main advantages of the SKG vertical lathes:

machining of heavy workpieces with big dimensions
big travel range of rail heads increases the variability of machine application
variable conception of the tool exchange as well as of the tool holder exchange.

The tools and tool holders are stored in disk magazines. The progressive way of the automatic tool exchange allows to cover the customers' need and requirements in a wide spectrum of operations. The machines can be equipped with the tool holders with conventional tools 50x50 mm as well as with tool holders made by various manufacturers, which allow to perform the automatic exchange of cutting heads.

If it is wanted to perform machining with rotary tools, the customer can use the automatic tool exchange of the following tool types: ISO 50, HSK 100, Coromant Capto C8 or UTS 80.The machine can be equipped with the third controlled C-axis and with the rotary tool drive. The thermosymmetric design of the machine frame has an excellent influence on the machine accuracy.
